Motorcyclist, 24, Dies In York County Crash

A 24-year-old motorcyclist died following a crash Saturday at a local hospital, officials said.

David Scheidegg, of Rising Sun, MD, lost control on Seven Valleys and Grothey roads in North Codorus Township and crashed into a parked truck around 1:20 p.m., the York County Coroner's Office said.

He was rushed to Wellspan York Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 2 p.m., the York County Coroner's Office said.

Scheidegg was helmeted at the time of the crash.

Northern York County Regional Police was the lead investigating agency. A routine toxicology was obtained.
